3. King of weird fish.

O.K. this fish, Golomyanka, has no scales, stays in only one lake and stays in the deepest part of the lake, so what else is weird? It dissolves almost instantly on contact with sunlight. What causes this? A special oil that they need to have to survive. Also this lake, Lake Baikal, has Golamyanka's main predator, also native to to this lake, the Nerpa Seal.

2. YETI ON THE BEACH!

It makes sense why this Yeti Crab got it's name! When I said ''YETI ON THE BEACH!'' it REALLY went against it's natural habitat. It was found 1,500km south of easter island at 2,200m deep in the ocean. It isn't exactly a crab, but a species of squat lobster. These animals are also color blind and able to use it's ''hair'' to purify the poison from hydrothermal vents using Filamentous Bacteria (I wish I could do that!).

1. A real Dumbo.

I am making a count-down to the top ten weirdest animals ever. Number 1 is Dumbo Octopus.

They are extremely rare, found at only the deepest depths of the ocean. In fact, it goes deeper then any octopus known to man. It's real name is Grimpoteuthis, and it's nick-name came from the movie Dumbo.

A CYCLOPS shark?!

Yes! This shark is a unlucky musky shark with it's regular musky shark siblings in this picture.
Not only is it a cyclops, but it is also albino. It was not even born yet, it was still inside it's mother when it was found. The fishing company that found it had another weird discovery, a two headed
shark was also found by them. Scientists found out both of these sharks are the real deal!
it was found.

" firefly of the sea"

The name says it all! This luminescent creature's real name is "Ostracod" but most people call it the firefly of the sea ( I would prefer it if you call it by it's nickname becuase there are 65,000 species of ostracod ). This certain species lives in the sea of japan ( yum! japanese seafood tonight!).

Hidden in the deep.

The channel catfish is the official fish of Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Tennesse. If you run out of bait do not worry, this fish also eats garlic, dog food, cheese, bubble gum and even Kool-Aid powder! So do not worry, weird bait is here! ( The reason I added this animal to the website is becuase I have some of these animals in the pond in my backyard!)

Seafood fit for a giant.

When I say giant I MEAN giant! This huge clam lives by the island of Borneo. This colossal clam lays 500 million eggs at a time! Imagine if WE could do that! The way it eats is more interesting than most about the clam. In the day time it opens it's mouth and lets the algea in it reproduce for the clam to eat.

A pygmy what?

A pygmy hippo thats what! This little animal's skin loses a lot of water so it spends most of it's life in the water (no wonder hippopotamus stands for river horse in greek). Most of these creatures are on the brink of extinction and we only know of about 21 of these animals in the world.

my favorite homo-sapien!

my favorite homo-sapien is my grandpa. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA BOS!

Need a tissue, monkey?

I know you think the proboscis monkey's nose looks weird, and I can't explain why it is so LARGE!
Actually no one knows why it is so bizarre. Some say it is used as a snorkel, others say it regulates body temperature, but it is most likely to lure females (Another non-attractive way to find a mate!).

Truth or false?

This is a onza you see in this picture. Do you notice something strange about it? What about it's tail and ears? That's right! It seems like half-dog, half-cat. Many people say it is fake. In 1938 and 1986 people find carcasses of the legendary Onza. My mom might have seen one, you know! Last year while my family was looking for property to buy, Mom said she saw dog like cat!
